Pat Talamantes is president and CEO of The McClatchy Company, a position he assumed in May 2012. Previously, he served as McClatchy’s vice president, finance and CFO. In addition to being responsible for all of McClatchy’s financial operations, he was responsible for information technology and shared business services. He assumed additional oversight of McClatchy’s Florida operations, which include the Miami Herald, the Spanish-language El Nuevo Herald and the Bradenton Herald newspapers. Prior to joining McClatchy, Talamantes worked for Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., a television broadcasting company, from 1996 to 2001, serving the last two years as its CFO.
