Jason Taylor is joining Inland Press Association’s board of directors as GateHouse Media brings its more than 300 newspaper titles to Inland.
Taylor has multiple important responsibilities at GateHouse: President of its Western U.S. Publishing Operations, President of GateHouse Live and Virtual Events, and President and Publisher of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Before joining GateHouse, Taylor was East Group Regional President for Gannett Company Inc. as well as president and publisher of The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss.
During his career, he has been president and publisher of the Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press. He served as senior vice president of sales for The Honolulu Advertiser when it was owned by Gannett, and was named the company’s executive of the year in 2006. He previously served as general manager for The Times in Gainesville, Georgia, and director of advertising and marketing for The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
